Yo-Yo Ma and the Berlin Philharmonic Ochestra

With the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma and Manfred Honeck.

For the american cellist Yo-Yo Ma it is his first performance at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Germany. However with the Orchestra he works together since 1978. In this live broadcast he plays the Schumann Concerto in a-minor. Afterwards the austrian conductor Manfred Honeck adjoins his interpretation of Symphony No. 6 “The Pathétique” by Tschaikowsky.
