Since 1979 every three years the Concours Géza Anda takes place in Zurich in
Switzerland. The international competition shall be deemed to be as one of the most difficult and hardest worldwide. In 1978 Hortense Anda-Bührle founded the
competition in honor to her husband Géza Anda, one of the leading pianists who died in 1976. In 2012 students of the Zurich University of the Arts from the „Cast“-Department presents the competition live on internet with reportages, interviews and short stories behind the scenes as well as live concert recordings from the recitals to the finale.
The project was leaded by Torben Jacobsen and Marc Nathmann at the
Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
