In 1856, the Italian composer Gioacchino Rossini and his wife pay a visit to Bad Wildbad in Germany’s Black Forest. The maestro is old and seriously ill: he has not written a piece of work for decades. Visiting Germany, he expects to get healed by the miraculous waters of Bad Wildbad.
