A scenic presentation of St. Johns Passion live on TV from the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, Germany. “It`s not theatre. It is a prayer, a meditation”, says the director Peter Sellars. The famous orchestra and the choir are supported by brilliant soloists like Mark Padmore as the Evangelist, Christian Gerhaher, Magdalena Kožená and Roderick Williams as Jesus.
