Torben Jacobsen

Torben Jacobsen was born in 1975 in Hamburg, Germany. He studied music at the Academy of the Hamburger Konservatorium. In 2005 he graduated in sound and visual engineering/design at the Institute for Music and Media (IMM) at the Robert Schumann Hochschule and at he University of Applied Science in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Currently he works as free-lancer director and author for cultural, musical and entertaining broadcasts. He creates suitable concepts and directs for MultiCam productions in TV-studios as well as for outdoor TV live broadcasting. He directs for internet channels like the Digital Concert Hall by the Berlin Philharmonics, too. He also realizes documentaries, portraits and TV-Features for any kind of media. For many years he worked as a free-lancer author and speaker for the radio and wrote for print magazines. From 2012 to 2019 he taught at the Zurich University of the Arts for "MultiCamera production and live streaming" in the department of design. He is also a coach for advising protagonists to develope their presence in front of a camera. Torben Jacobsen has two children and lives in Hamburg, Germany.   Photo by Irène Zandel
